Open since November of 2009 in Cambridge, MN! Joel has been teaching and repairing guitars since 1996, at his first store, Pennington's Evergreen Music Center in Evergreen, Colorado. Lessons are 15.00 per half hour at the store and we teach reading music as well as tabs and chords from classic to contemporary songs!
As for his custom building history, he has been playing with different combinations of parts and electronics, as well as custom finishing and setup work for over 3 years now. There are dozens of his instruments around the mid west and now has guitars in the UK, too! The first custom guitar was built in 2007 with a combination of WD and Fender parts and utilized WWII nose art from a B-17 Bomber...painted by World Famous Artist, George Sedlak...Now, Joel has given up the domain name... www.pinupguitars.com to luthier extrodinare, Eric Daw of Seattle's Emerald City Guitars....Eric makes fine custom reliced Tele guitars...even winds his own pickups!
